Getting back on track for 2019 is as easy as 1, 2, 3...

Happy New Year CATTIVA GIRLS! We are back stronger than ever, and it is that time of the year to get our lives back on track. The new year is a great period to set new goals and plan to reach them, but sometimes it can be very overwhelming. So here I give you my three tips so you can get it done without losing sleep over it:
- Set realistic goals!
This applies to everything: fitness, diet, work, social life… If you start off thinking “I am going to lose 60 lbs, workout 2 hours a day, read one book per week and go out on Fridays and Saturdays, all by March 1st”, chances are you will feel overworked and frustrated by day 3 and give in. Set smaller short-term goals you can reach instead, time will go by faster and you will feel much more accomplished: Think “start drinking 8 cups of water”, think “start working out”, think “reach out to whatever friend once a week to check in”... You will find yourself having many “small” wins and feeling accomplished.
- Start by your well-being, then move on to more dramatic goals.
This means make sure all your basic needs are covered before embarking in bigger, greater looks. Some things to look at at this category are sleep (are you getting enough?), water (are you drinking enough?), etc. After you’ve made sure those things are handled, go ahead and set fitness, work or other goals, you will have more energy to tackle them!
- Envision yourself when you reach your goal, so you can get through the process.
Vision boards, post-its, motivational quotes on the fridge door, all those things will help you visualize your goal and keep you inspired so you will keep working towards it. If you keep the finish line in mind, you will be less likely to give in, so envision away!
These are just three recommendations to get you started, I hope you reach all your goals and 2019 is your most successful year yet!
